Empowering individuals of all ages through access to higher quality, local education.
The Mission
CG Charitable Fund exists to help people of all ages achieve temporal and emotional self-sufficiency — by enabling access to quality education within their own communities and by supporting the educational infrastructure those communities need.
We do not believe in temporary fixes. We believe in addressing underlying causes. We believe in the transformative power of an educated community to lift itself, sustain itself, and guide its own future.
"Effective aid comes from addressing the underlying causes of poverty."
— Esther Duflo, Nobel Laureate in Economics
This perspective resonates deeply with our philosophy. Rather than providing direct assistance that addresses symptoms, we invest in organizations that tackle root causes — ensuring that the communities we serve develop the capacity to thrive long after our support.
Our Origins
CG Charitable Fund was founded in 2004 with a broad humanitarian goal: to assist families worldwide in living with dignity and reaching self-reliance. In those early years, the foundation explored many avenues for creating meaningful change.
Over time, we recognized that education was not merely one tool among many — it was the lever. A child who learns to read opens doors. A young person who earns a vocational credential gains independence. A teacher who receives training multiplies impact across every student they teach.
This clarity of purpose led us to focus exclusively on educational initiatives, and today we support more than twenty organizations that share this belief.
